Do avocados really help in weight loss? A study in California aims to find avocados importance in weight loss and it is giving $300 to the people who participate in the study by eating avocados
Yeah it seems too good to be true but this is not a marketing stunt , they are doing it for real , for science.
Do you love avocados? or better, do you love eating ?
Well now you can get paid $300 dollars to eat avocados to help the study.
Researchers from Loma Linda University, Penn State, Tufts University and the University of California, Los Angeles will pay you to eat avocados every day for six months to help the study.
Researchers in this project are calling it “The Habitual Diet and Avocado Trial,” and they are looking for 1000 participants to help them figure out if avocados really help in weight loss.
Avocados is a healthy source of fats and helps in cholesterol but there are some opinions that this fruit may not be as healthy as it seems.
“Since avocados contain the highest fat content of any fruit, it seems illogical to think they might actually help people lose their belly fat,” Loma Linda University reported.
This study is funded by is funded by the Hass Avocado Board and they want to examine if eating one avocado per day will help reduce fat in the abdomen.

Requirements to get in the study
- You should be 25 years of age or older
- You should be willing to either eat one avocado per day for six months or eat only two avocados per month for the same period (control group)
- You must measure at least 40 inches around the waist for males or measure at least 35 inches around the waist for females
If you are selected, you will be randomly assigned to one of two groups:group one wil eat one avocado daily and people in group will not eat more than 2 avocados in a month.
After the study is complete you will be paid $300.
